Merit Badge Counselors Wanted

Your experience and enthusiam are invaluable assets to a scout. Whether you are a health care professional with first aid skills, an avid outdoorsman with survial skills, or a long time collector of postage stamps you have something to offer a scout.Inspire a young person to explore new horizons, gain meaningful life skills, and continue a path of personal growth. This is the outcome of the merit badge process.

An Historic Troop

Scouting came to Pelham, NH in the early 20th century. The earliest scouts participated in troops in neighboring towns but in 1928 Troop 25 was formed. Elmer Raymond was a member of the troop in the 1930's and it is for him that the town's Raymond Park is named.

World War II interrupted the proper fileing of paperwork and the troop's charter lapsed. In 1945 the charter was renewed and the Scoutmaster was the minister of the local Congregational Church.

Now, in 2015, the Troop is celebrating it's "official" 70th anniversary. We are making tomorrow's history today.

Camping

Troop 25 aims for campouts every month. Past campouts have focused on archery, caving, biking, hiking, and canoeing. We have regular events like "Klondike, a winter time scouting skills competition. This year we are building our own canoes with the intent of testing them in the early summer. Each summer we attend a week of camp at the Griswold Scout Reservation near Gilmanton Iron Works, NH.
